This is a film about two women who struggle to endure lousy working conditions they face as strippers.

A Brazilian native and a Quebecoise stripper form a mutually beneficialfriendship in this drama from French/Canadian filmmaker GuylaineDionne. Brazilian student Priscilla Paredes was studying in Montrealwhen her student visa expired. Now, Priscilla's only hope for remainingin Canada is to go to work as a stripper at Elixir, a seedy downtownstrip club. There, the desperate illegal comes into contact with localdancer Milagro. Ironically, Milagro longs to go to Brazil, and the twodancers strike up a warm friendship based on their tenuous connection.Later, as Milagro welcomes Priscilla into her secret life andintroduces her to her young daughter Chloé, Priscilla returns the favorby teaching her new friend how to fight for what she wants no matterwhat the cost.
